FRI (3/4), 8-11pm. — The Traveling Bonfires’ “Vagrant Wind 2005 Road Journey” kicks off in Asheville, featuring the poetry of Nina Marie Collins, Matthew Mulder, Pasckie Pascua, Riley Schilling, and the music of Dashvara and Tim McGill. Bearly Edible Cafe, 15 Eagle St., downtown Asheville. FREE.

* i’m driving through ashvegas that day on my way back to chapel hill to move some of my belongings back home and see my dad who’s in the country. not sure if i’ll be in town that late, but i did pass on the word to my ashville friends.
Jane, that would be an honor if you and your friends (or just your friends) could make it. Should be a free-spirited hip/beat sort of event. The producer of the gig just emailed me and said I have a 20-minute spot in the lineup. He also sent an event poster which I’ll try to upload later this week.
